Transition Bikes has released the new Double, a bike designed for styling and slamming slopestyle parks, which has been refined and tweaked this year for a much cleaner looking frame.
“We looked at every tube, yoke, cnc’d bit and hardware to come up with the cleanest and trickest frame we could imagine. The result is a stronger and lighter Double that is more capable for a wider use of disciplines,” says the press release.
The frame uses a proprietary formed tubeset for the front triangle with a tapered headtube and an internal gusset, and cable routing goes inside the chainstay. A new ‘flip chip’ on the rocker arm allows for adjustable travel, choose from 80 and 100mm, and new custom pivot bolts with chamfered edges designed by Transition match those on the Fox forks.
For the all-mountain rider the 160mm Covert has a new colourway for 2010, available May/June.
