Windwave (distributors of FSA, Corsair and Marzocchi) has announced it’s to bring Labyrinth bikes into the UK.
The rider-owned French bike manufacturer has been going since 1991 based in the Le Vosges mountain range in mid-East France.
The first bike to be available is the 150mm (6in) Agile, a bike developed to excel on the trails local to the company, built on the “desire to produce a bike that could climb as well as it descended.”
At the heart of the frame is the company’s own ‘Adapt Link’ system, it’s a single pivot layout with a linkage between the swingarm and Marzocchi Roco Lo shock. Labyrinth has tuned the shock rate with a low leverage ratio in the first 2in of travel for small bump sensitivity, a linear action for the middle 2.8in and finally a progressive 1.2in of travel.
Around that linkage is built a 7005 triple butted frame with forged links and asymmetric chainstays, and there’s ISCG 05 mounts and guides for Gravity dropper seatposts. It’s designed to be versatile so you can build it up to suit your riding style: the frame will take 140mm to 160mm travel forks. Headangle with a 140mm forks is 68 degrees and a degree slacker with a 160mm fork. Bottom bracket height with a 140mm fork is 13in, frame weight is 3.4kg (7.49lbs).
Available in July in three colours (white, black or polished) and costing £1399.95.
