A new bike company is set to offer women mountainbikers a better
product. Called Wylder, Inc they will be offering the “Juliana Line”, a
“full spectrum of components and gear”. The bikes and components have been
designed with former world DH and XC champion Juli Furtado’s expertise. The Juliana
frames (full suspension super light and the cushtail) are being manufactured by the
cutting edge crew at Santa Cruz Bicycles. Wylders team of R & D women riders
constantly test and evaluate their products, it says here.
The Wylder team is comprised of men and women who have been long established and
well respected in the cycling industry for years. From a world champion, Juli Furtado,
to an industry leader in design and manufacturing, Christi Feeter-Stark, co-founder
of RockShox, Inc. Also onboard are men, Tom Eagleton and Frank Scurlock of RockShox,
Inc. and Rich Novak of Santa Cruz Bicycles lend credence to the team.
Wylder is committed to “Femmetry”: The creation of products specifically
tailored for the contemporary woman, through the symbiosis acheived between research,
design, engineering and informative education .
