Nico Vouilloz was forced to abandon his Monte Carlo rally debut with steering trouble on only the fourth stage. A gearbox problem in his Williams Clio forced him out of his previous run in the Rally Vence, suggesting his bike mechanics are better than his car mechanics.
“I was driving very conservatively, making sure I wasn’t pushing the car to hard, knowing the race was long. This is really frustrating, I was feeling confident and I knew I could finish in the top three of my class”. Nico has written on his Vouillozracing website.
Oh well, better luck next time, Nico.
