A rally will take place on February 26 at Hamsterely Forest to protest against government plans to sell-off England’s publically-owned woodland.
The government has begun consulting on the proposal, which would allow the sale of the entire Forestry Commission 635,000-acre estate – essentially transferring power to the private sector.
But the plans have been widely criticised, with more than 1500 people attending a rally in the Lake District.
And Hamsterley Forest users have the chance to make their voice heard from 11am on Saturday February 26.
