The No Fuss team have announced Llandegla as the venue for the third event of the Benromach 10 Hour series.
The 10 Hour format was introduced by No Fuss in 2005, and attracts both novice and experts to take on the challenge as a team of two, three or four, with riders now also able to tackle it single-handed.
No Fuss made the choice to move to Wales when the venue in Moray was not available for the date required. Coed Llandegla Forest is owned and managed by UPM Tilhill, the largest private forestry company in the UK.
The first event of the series, 10 Under the Ben, will be held at Fort William on Saturday May 22. The Fort William event regularly attracts upto 1,000 entrants, from as far afield as New Zealand and Canada, to experience Forestry Commission Scotland’s Leanachan Forest trails.
The second event, 10 at Kirroughtree, will take place in Galloway on Saturday July 9, leaving Deg (10) Yn Llandegla to round off the Benromach Three Tens Series on Saturday August 20.
“I’m very excited to be working with the No Fuss team on their first venture out of Scotland,” said former world trails champion Ben Savage.
“I have been going to Coed Llandegla for years and have always thought it would be an ideal venue to hold an event. Hopefully this will be one of the bigger mountain bike races in the 2011 calendar.
“I have a busy few months ahead of me in order to get everything set for Saturday August 20 but I can’t wait, it’s going to be amazing.”
Entries for the Deg (10) Yn Llandegla are now open at www.nofussevents.co.uk
