We mentioned the Southern XC Series in passing the other day, but we’ve now got details of all the events. It’s the second year of the Southern XC Series, a collaborative effort between a group of local race organisers following the demise of the long-running SAMS series. Spokesperson Steve Jones says, “We’ve kept the best venues from last year, plus we’ve added two classic venues – Erlestoke and Aston Hill – and an exciting new venue at Farley Mount Country Park near Winchester.”
By a curious coincidence, on those occasions when we’ve ridden through Farley Mount we’ve often commented that someone ought to run a race there because it’d be really good. So there you go.
