Amongst the many successes of last year’s Fort William UCI World Cup weekend, the Alpine Bikes World Cup Chaser stood out. After all, what other opportunities are there for us mere mortals to race on an authentic World Cup course just after the pro’s? 2003 was even better than that, as World Cup race winner Filip Meirhaeghe lined up for the start of the Chaser for a “warm down”…

The good news is that the Chaser will once again be part of the World Cup weekend. Glasgow MTB Club and Alpine Bikes have teamed up to organise the race on Sunday 6 June. After the success of 2003 there’s likely to be something of a run on entries, so get in quick – there will be a limit.
