The steel hardtail renaissance continues, with a name from years gone by making a comeback to the UK courtesy of Sideways Cycles. The brand in question is Voodoo, known for frames designed by Joe Murray (formerly of Kona), silly names and once having its ads banned by a US magazine – the Voodoo name did “not fit with the magazine’s strict religious values”.
We’re confident, though, that no chickens came to any harm in the making of the Voodoo range. The frames start at a mere £179 for the HooDoo, while steel makes way for Scandium on the top of the range Sobo at £569. Singlespeed fans will want to take a look at the Wanga, featuring Reynolds tubing and sliding dropouts/disc mount at £389.
All the frames should be in stock by Christmas, we’re told. Find out more from Sideways Cycles on 01270 883785 or www.sidewayscycles.co.uk.
