This Saturday sees the Grizedale Stages motor rally around forest tracks in Grizedale Forest and on Broughton Moor. As you might expect, this will result in a load of rights of way being closed. All forest footpaths, bridleways and unsurfaced roads between Coniston Water and the Hawkshead to Satterthwaite road and two others at Broughton Moor will be closed, as will most permissive paths in the forest. So if your riding plans included Grizedale on Saturday you might want to think again.
