For some time now, top component manufacturer Race Face has been running a regular kit giveaway thing that goes by the name of The Crap On My Desk. The premise of the giveaway is that marketing chap Marshall Rutman, in common with much of the bicycle industry, has a desk area littered with odd bike parts, prototypes, old samples, things in colours that came out wrong and so on. TCOMD aims to distribute it across the world, in a cunning combination of product promotion and tidying up a bit.
The current episode is a little bit special, though, thanks to a guest appearance by DH World Cup Champ Steve Peat, albeit in 2D animated form. Steve’s there because the current prize is his World Cup-winning Diabolus cranks. It’s also worthy of comment because it’s actually pretty funny.
