British Cycling are looking for volunteers to become part of the team at the forthcoming 2011 UCI Mountain Bike Cross Country World Cup in Dalby Forest between May 20 and 22.
The organisers are looking to recruit a number of course marshals, offering the chance to be involved in the award-winning event, voted ‘best World Cup round of 2010’.
Every volunteer will receive free camping accommodation, official World Cup crew clothing, event programme, goody bag, meals and a contribution towards travel expenses, as well as other exclusive benefits.
Here’s what happening in Dalby during the World Cup weekend…
Friday: The town of Pickering plays host to the opening night of the World Cup weekend, with the Pro Sprint Eliminator, urban cross country racing in a 4X format
Saturday: Junior World Cup racing followed by the Dalby Dare in which the public get their chance to ride the World Cup course.
Sunday: Elite men’s and women’s cross country racing in what will be the second round of the World Cup.
