Small-scale rider-owned Transition Bikes has quickly gained a reputation for building sorted freeride bikes, but until now UK availability has been a little patchy. But that’s all set to change, as Transition will now be selling direct to the UK via a new webstore.
The new webstore promises to offer competitive prices, fast shipping and access to the full line of Transition frames, build kits and parts. All orders will be shipped directly from the company’s Washington State headquarters, and gives customers the option to spec the bike however they want.
Orders over $100 will be shipped free of charge, while orders over $400 can expect UPS’s Expedited service (with all import fees and taxes are paid at checkout). Transition warns it can only bill UK customer credit cards in US currency, but it hopes to offer UK pricing soon.
“We are excited to offer this service to our customers,” said Sam Burkhardt from Transition Bikes. “We offer so many options with our products; different colors, build kits, forks and even different rear shocks. By shipping orders directly we are able to give riders exactly what they want without any unnecessary delays.”
“The UK is one of our most popular markets and we wanted a way to provide our UK customers with our superb rider owned customer service and access to our full inventory, shipped directly to their door. Our products have been a huge hit with UK riders who appreciate clean simple designs for niche styles of riding,” said Kevin Menard, co-owner of Transition Bikes. “We are looking forward to growing in the UK and getting involved in the local riding scene.”
