Due to its popularity Trail Breaks’ next Southern Trail Ride will move from original location Bramley to Dunsfold Park, to accommodate a swelling of entries recently.
Trail Breaks’ summer season of events, featuring both road and off-road formats on the same weekends; have gone from strength to strength this year exceeding expectation. That’s great news for cycling, but puts pressure on the Bramley, the location for the next Trail Ride on 11 October, where limited parking has forced the organisers to make the location switch to the more capacious Dunsfold Park (better known as the home of the BBC Top Gear team).
Trail Break’s Martin Harrison says: “We think this is going to be a great move for the Trail Ride as, being just six miles south of the original start, we still get to head up to all the North Downs goodness that makes the Bramley ride so popular year on year. But we’ll be approaching it from a new direction, with a new twist; like a fresh new ride on some old favourite trails. We might offer prizes for confirmed sightings of the Stig too!”
The route will wind north into the Downs, passing through established favourite spots including Winterfold Woods and Holmbury Hill. There will be a choice of distances to ride, comprehensive route marking to keep you on track, free SIS energy drink and individual timing with a post event web results service. Hot food and drink will be available at the finish too, to warm you through from this superb autumn ride.
