The Big Welsh Weekend returns to Margam Park on 28-30 May.
This year the event will feature British XC series round on Saturday, the tough Margam Marathon on a 25km course on Sunday and two days of free demos from eight of Britain’s best brands.
If that’s not enough then there is live music Saturday night, showers, hardstanding parking, camping, flushing loos, a programme of led rides, team relay action and the varied attractions of Margam Park on offer.
The weekend is always popular with families, with kids races and loads to do on site for the whole family including free access to the park with its farm trail, beautiful grounds, children’s adventure playground, orangery restaurant, impressive deer herd, on-site train and a Go Ape course all within walking distance of the campsite. The camping is also within 15 minutes drive from Afan and Glyncorrwg so a chance to head off and sample the local trail centre delights as well.
This year an added feature is two days of free test rides on the latest bikes from Giant, Specialized, Trek, Santa Cruz, Genesis, Yeti, Gary Fisher and Merida. Plus there’s free Accelerade samples and a chance to try out the new range of Osprey Hydraulics. More info on the demo at www.britishxc.com.
