The Test Valley Tour series is a selection of road and off-road rides around Hampshire. Not a county that immediately springs to mind as an MTB mecca, but the Tour routes are by all accounts pretty good. The final event this year is the Cool Mountain Bike Challenge, starting from Charlton Sports and Leisure Centre. Choose from 25km or 40km routes, 75% off road with singletrack sections and soup, refreshments and a massage back at base. Can’t be bad…

Last year’s Cool Challenge attracted 350 riders and we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see it get more this year. 16 November is the date, registration on the day is £12 and you can save two quid by pre-registering before 7 November.
