Stevens Bikes will be coming to the UK through Hargroves Cycles after the UK retailer, it has been announed this week.
Initially available through Hargroves stores and their website (for UK mainland orders), the 2011 catalogue includes the top-of-the-range Ridge Max, which looks to deliver the best of both worlds – the comfort of an enduro machine combined with the weight of an an all-mountain bike.
The full MTB range covers five areas – Enduro Fully, All Mountain Fully, Marathon Fully, Performance, Lady, Allround, Tandem and Junior.
Stevens was founded in 1992 by Werner and Wolfgang von Hatch and has developed a strong name on the continent, with the German Stevens-Vredestein Bike team coming 14th at Cape Epic, before making the jump across to these shores.
The brand also has a full road and cyclo-cross line-up, topping out with the Ventoux – winner of the IF Design Eurobike Award – and the SLR, which combines the aesthetics of an aerodynamic time-trial machine with the geometry and handling of a modern street racer.
