The smooth composite designers at SRAM have won a rare recognition from style icon magazine I-D.
The cunning pull and swing levers have scooped an award in the consumer products category, alongside Apple’s Mac G4 Cube, Nike’s Swift Suit and Communicate WX, BMW’s Streetcarver, Ipaq’s Pocket PC and Ford’s Th!nk Vehicle.
Not bad for a bike component category, but then they are the futuristic folk behind the all composite double decker Smart Bar, which has already won awards in and outside the bike industry.
