Sorted Cycles, distributors of fine US custom frames to the gentry, has diversified a bit into, well, cheaper stuff. As well as high-end custom stuff from the likes of Kelly and Vicious Cycles, Sorted is now bringing in frames from Soma Fabrications. Soma’s a sort of Stateside On-One, in a way – they design frames, get them manufactured in Taiwan and sell them at a very reasonable price.
The range includes road, ‘cross and MTB frames as well as an intriguing track bike-derived single/fixed gear “urban assault bike”. They all look pretty respectable and are built largely from Reynolds tubing. And those reasonable prices? The cheapest frame is the Reynolds 631 Groove MTB frame at £225, with several of the others coming in at £255. Certainly worth a look…
