Exclusive seats in Škoda team cars

For the last month we’ve been giving letourguide.com readers the exclusive chance to bag the best seats in the Tour. In partnership with Škoda, suppliers of nearly all the team and organiser cars, we offered the chance to win VIP tickets or seats in two Škoda team cars, in return for answering some simple questions.

And we were inundated with entries, particularly for the team car spots. Here are the winners…

Škoda team car winners

Winning seats in a Škoda team car which will precede the peloton is Graham Denny. Clearly delighted with the news, he says: “What a fantastic prize – a real once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! To spend the day amongst the peloton is a dream come true.”

And for the Škoda team car which will follow behind the peloton, that goes to Paul Clarkson, exuding: “What an amazing opportunity, as someone who has followed the Tour de France for years from the other side of the world this is truly a once in a life time experience, thanks Škoda and letourguide.com”.

Each team car will be driven by a yet-to-be-revealed ex-pro and one of the letourguide.com editorial team, so both winners will have expert commentary throughout the race. Should be an entertaining experience, and we’ll be hearing exactly how it went following the stage.

VIP ticket winners

Škoda VIP tickets at the Departure village and the Mid-Race stop over village proved a big draw, and for good reason. Winners will get the best seats in town (no wrestling for a spot close to the barrier), and be looked after by Škoda.

Winning a pair of tickets each to the Departure Village are David Assaly, Jo Day, Gavin Povey and Tom Betts.

And for the Mid-Race Stop Over Village, a still in shock Roz Jones and Graeme Denman.

Congratulations to all our winners. We’ll look forward to hearing how they got on next week. In the meantime, you can find out the best viewing spots for the Prologue without VIP tickets here.
