This weekend sees the latest incarnation of the popular Specialized/Karrimor Bike Enduro 6. Or Enduro Plus as it’s now called, to better reflect all the other stuff going on. As well as the six-hour main event on Sunday (solos or pairs) and the well-established night time trial on Saturday evening, there’s also a load of what we find ourselves compelled to describe as “traditional” XC racing on Saturday. The aim of organiser Patrick Adams is a packed weekend of sociable race action and it looks likely to be that very thing. Even the weather doesn’t look too horrible…

And thanks to the generosity of the fine people at Specialized, Bikemagic’s roving event photographer will be, um, roving the course taking pictures of everything that moves. The idea is to get pics of as many different competitors as possible. We’ll stick ’em all up on the site in a suitably searchable style next week – take a look at last year’s to get an idea. And if you see him, don’t forget to look fast.

Also in attendance will be what we hesitate to call “Team Bikemagic” as that implies some degree of organisation, but your editor and Mark, Master of Marketing will both be racing on Sunday. Say hi if you spot us – Mike’ll be on a white Kona s*ngl*sp**d and we’re not sure what Mark’s riding. A bike of some sort, probably.
