Last year Santa Cruz rolled out its latest carbon bike the downhill V-10, but a few people asked why the swingarm wasn’t also made from the stuff. Well, today on its blog Santa Cruz have just revealed a carbon swingarm has been developed.
According to the blog entry, it looks like the new swingarms are going straight on the Syndicate World Cup team bikes and will likely be used for the first team at the World Championships at the end of the month.
“With Syndicate graphics, no less? We wouldn’t really be crazy enough to take some completely prototype, never before ridden, carbon fiber swingarms, slap them on Syndicate race bikes, and then race them at the World Championships, would we? What kind of thinking is that? What could we possibly hope to gain from an endeavor so fraught with obvious pitfalls?”
