The ninth Roughride will take place on Sunday June 12 2011 with nutrition manufacturer Torq lined up as headline sponsor.
The Torq Roughride is a 75km moorland route which scales 7,000 feet of climbing, while the shorter route covers 48km and 4,000ft of ascent.
The route is 80 per cent off-road which, according to the organisers, is more than any other event in England and Wales. Good relations with local landowners allow the organisers to use miles of tracks not normally open to riders.
The ride is open to approximately 1,000 riders, on ancient routes in the Welsh borders, near the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The entry fee remains £27 in advance and includes camping, event t-shirt and post-ride meal.
