Is this the toughest adventure triathlon ever? We think it just might be.
In April, two seasoned elite adventure racers, Bruce Duncan and Anthony Emmet, will embark on six-and-a-half days of suffering to raise money for Cancer Research.
The Epic Tri will see the duo kick-off with The Bob Graham, an infamous 65-mile fell run over 42 peaks in the Lake District, all to be completed within 24 hours.
Bruce and Anthony will then head north of the border to embark on a 874-mile tandem ride from John O’Groats to Lands End, in a target time of 60 hours.
And their monster triathlon will finish with the Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Race over 125 miles, which they hope to finish in 24 hours.
They will start The Bob Graham on Monday April 18 and they expect to reach Westminster Bridge in London on Sunday April 24.
“The Epic Tri will be a huge undertaking,” said Bruce, three-time winner of the Wenger Patagonian Expedition Race and 2010 Nokia Coast to Coast Adventure Challenge champion.
“It will far outweigh any of the huge multisport adventure races we have done before but with a personal incentive we will push through the pain to raise as much as we can for Cancer Research.”
