Amateurs can saddle up and take part in the 2011 UCI MTB Marathon World Championships in Montebelluna, Italy on Sunday June 26.
The pro men will contest a 116.8km course, with 2,910m of ascent, while the pro women will race over 98.5km, with 2,290m of climbing.
But weekend warriors can also ride over a Marathon (77.1km, 1,980km of ascent) or Classic (51.7km, 1,310m of climbing) distance.
Both races are open to riders over 18 who are registered with their national federation. Non-licensed riders are allowed to start as long as they possess a medical certificate of good health.
