Recalled recumbents are fatally forked

Just in case any of you harbour a low slung riding secret in your garage we thought we’d best inform you of a recall notice issued on Bike E’s recumbent bikes.
Apparently the linkage forks on these curious pedal powered couches have been faliing apart and leaving their riders even lower to the ground. Owners are advised to wheel the bike gingerly back to where they bought it and get fitted with an upgrade split pin kit.
Meanwhile it appears Cannondale may be launching their own recumbent. According to BikeBiz Cannondale designer Chris Dodman arrived at the HPV World Championships in Brighton on “a sleek, black recumbent called Rhubarb and Custard”. The beast has no fairing but a short wheelbase full suspension system, but there was no confirmation that it was an official ‘Dale prototype.
Trek also dabbled in taking things lying down a few years back but as far as we know the prototypes are still lurking in the corner of a big factory in Wisconsin.
