West Drayton Mountain Bike Club (WDMBC) will be organising the second Bordon Enduro on Sunday 24 October, which is this year sponsored by RapidRacerProducts (RRP).
The 8-mile circuit incorporates many of the best sections from the last few Southern XCs and parts of last years Enduro course. Generous sponsorship from RRP will see the most ‘rapid’ racers go home with some worthwhile prizes as a reward for their efforts.
Chris Denman, former Southern XC champ and WDMBC race organiser said: “This is the second time we have organized an Enduro at Bordon and once again we will focus on designing a course that will challenge all abilities of rider – from the beginner to the seasoned racer. The great thing about Bordon is that is fairly flat but the twisty nature of the circuit means the faster you ride it the harder it becomes. We’ll make sure favourites such as the ‘Cresta Run’ stay in but we’ll also add a few new sections to keep the hardened racer on their toes.
Race sponsor, Craig Bromley of RapidRacerProducts commented, “Bordon is one of a small number of venues steeped in race heritage. It’s been part of the Southern XC series for many years and always produces fast and exciting racing. Our products are designed with the necessary functionality, performance and durability to withstand exactly this type of racing and we are pleased to be the sponsor of the 2010 Bordon Enduro.”
The event will feature a 4 hr race for solo and pairs, a 2hr solo race for senior and juniors (14-17) and even a 1 hour fun race for those just getting in to racing. Races will have a staggered start (with the shorter races starting later) to encourage spectating and ensure there is a big crowd for the important prize giving ceremony.
The event will have all the facilities you would expect from a top event including ample free parking on hard-standing ground, hot food, first aid, computerised results and commentary and prize ceremonies.
Entry on line is available via the www.xcracer.com website.
