Pinnacle Arrow Mountain Bike 2008

Our look at the 2008 Pinnacle
Bikes range has so far seen us turn the spotlight on three
new women’s specific bikes, and four
carbon road models. Today we turn our attention to the Pinnacle Arrow and
Tharpu Peak mountain bikes.

Arrow 1.0
The Arrow 1.0 (Shown above) features a a7 Alloy frame equipped with
a 3K carbon wishbone and a Fox F80 RL 2008 fork with 32mm stanchions, rebound
adjust and lockout. Fox painted the fork to compliment the white and subtle
blue of the frame, and it looks great. (OK, we are suckers for a good paint
job)

– Pinnacle a7c alloy custom butted frame, flush welded, with carbon fibre wishbone
stays
– Fox F80 RL 2008 fork with 32mm stanchions, rebound adjust and lockout
– New Shimano XTR Shadow rear derailleur keeps rear mech from protruding
– New Shimano XT Chainset and hydraulic brake system with adjustable brake levers
– Mavic Crossride wheel package
– Finishing kit from Continental Tyres, Easton and Crank Brothers

Tharpu Peak 3.0
The Tharpu Peak 3.0 (£1599.99) sit at the top of the mountain bike range
and this ‘full suss’ has as a custom rear tuned shock, Enduro Max bearings,
and now has an anodised main frame with hand polished rear stays for a highly
durable finish, At the front is a Fox F100RL suspension fork with 100mm travel,
rebound adjust and lockout.

– Pinnacle a7 custom butted frame with Direct4 suspension technology
– Fox Float RP2 rear shock with XV air sleeve and 100mm of custom tuned travel
– Fox F100RL suspension fork with 100mm travel, rebound adjust and lockout
– Avid Juicy 5 hydraulc disc brakes with 160mm rotors front and rear
– Shimano New Deore XT drivetrain with Shadow rear derailleur
– Mavic Crossride wheel package with Continental Explorer Pro folding tyres
