Oakley at the Tour de France

20 pairs of Oakley Chrome sunnies to win

With the world’s biggest cycling event, the Tour de France, kicking off tomorrow, eyewear brand Oakley has announced news of the chance to win some limited edition sunnies.

Now, we don’t usually mention road cycling topics here on Bikemagic, but with this being the Tour and there being some very nice and very expensive shades up for grabs, we thought we’d bend the rules. Just a little bit.

Oakley Custom Eyewear is giving dedicated fans and followers a chance to walk away with a pair of very limited edition BMX Chrome Jawbone as worn by Thor Hushovd, Mark Cavendish and Frank and Andy Schleck during the Tour of California.

But this is no normal competition. Oakley will ‘drop’ a free pair at 20 secret locations around the world at the end of each of the 20 stages of the Tour. To find out where you’ll need to be following the official Oakley Twitter or Facebook pages to get the details. The first person to arrive at the secret location takes home the prize.

Those all-important addresses to bookmark are www.twitter.com/oakley and www.facebook.com/oakley

If you’re reading this and you intend to follow the highs and lows of the Tour de France (don’t worry, we fully intend to) then make sure to check out Oakley’s BehindTheTour.com website, a dedicated Oakley Tour de France site with exclusive access to Oakley-sponsored riders competing in the race.
