We’ve already told you about the London premiere of Freeride Entertainment’s latest opus, NWD7: Flying High Again. But that’s just one leg of the film’s UK tour, which is good news for those outside London (ie most people).
The first venue is Walkabout in Birmingham’s Broad Street on Sunday 5 November. Doors open 7pm, the film starts at 7.30 and tickets will be £2 on the door. It’s an over-18s only venue. There’ll be a large screen plus loads of plasma screens around the place (including, we’re told, in the toilets…) so you should be assured of a good view. The Birmingham showing is being run in conjunction with Descent-Gear.com.
A week later it’s the London premiere, run by CycleSurgery (Sunday 12 November, 93 Feet East, 150 Brick Lane, London E1 6QL). It’s somewhat earlier, at 5pm, and more money (a fiver) but you get to see Pist’n’Broke’s BITS III: CKD as well as NWD7. Again, it’s over-18s only. There’s a ticket hotline on 0800 298 9989 or order online from www.cyclesurgery.com.
Then a whole month elapses before the Scottish premiere at Glasgow Film Theatre (12 Rose Street, Glasgow, G3 6RB; Tuesday 12 December). Tickets for that one are £6 (it’s in a proper cinema…) and are available from the box office (open noon to 9pm each day or call 0141 332 8128. Or head for www.gft.org.uk/reserve.asp).
The whole tour is being organised with the help of Kona, and NWD7 DVDs will be available any time now from your local Kona dealer.
