We’ve just heard that Newnham Park in Plymouth will be host to round 2 of the National XC series over the weekend of June 2/3. This event replaces the one scheduled for Innerleithen which was due to include Downhill and Dual. The downhill will be rescheduled later this year, dates when we have them.
The BCF tell us that all Innerleithen downhill and dual entries will be refunded, and that XC entries will be automatically transferred to Newnham. Anyone with an XC entry who can’t make it to Plymouth can apply to the BCF for a refund.
Martyn Salt, who also organises of the Newnham 90 endurance event taking place there on 23/24th September: “The course will include some cracking new sections and I am sure it will be regarded as one of our best ever”.
June 2 is practice day from 11-5.30 with all racing on Sunday June 3.
Camping available on site at Newnham with a bar, refreshments adjacent to the camping area.
Contact the BCF for entry forms. On an aside: Phillip Ingham from the BCF told us that they hope to have the BCF website back up and running by the end of the week.
