West Drayton Mountain Bike Club have confirmed two new events in Black Park – the Night of the Knobbly Tread and the Black Park Duathlon.

The Night of the Knobbly Tread takes place on Saturday October 22 and is a short night-time cross country race featuring both a fun event for those yet to sample the buzz of racing in the dark and an open event for experienced racers.

With the race taking place so close to Halloween, additional prizes will be awarded for the riders sporting the best fancy dress.

The nine-mile fun race starts at 7pm and the 15-mile open event kicks off at 7:50pm. Both will run on a fast, twisting three-mile mile circuit that will be a mixture of wide forest tracks and tight single track.

Sponsorship from Exposure lights and Party lights should see the prize winners going
away with some nice goodies.

Meanwhile, on the following day, the Black Park Duathlon will see competitors start with a three-mile run before taking on a 12-mile ride and finishing with another three-mile rune. Prizes will be supplied by Beyond Mountain Bikes and the Sweat Shop Windsor.
