The Evan’s branch in Maid Marian Way, located in Nottingham’s busy city centre, will be one of the retailer’s largest stores at 3,500 square feet and will stock in excess of 350 bikes as well as a huge range of cycling accessories and clothing on the shop floor.
The store will also house a workshop carrying out repairs and services and will have the extended opening hours of 8am to 8pm during the week to cater to Nottingham’s ever growing number of commuters opting to cycle to work.

The central city location shouldn’t deter recreational riders as the store will stock a comprehensive range of mountain and road bikes in addition to the hybrids and folding bikes most commonly used by Nottingham’s commuters.
“We’re really excited about having a presence in Nottingham” said Michael Rice, Managing Director, Evans Cycles. “It’s a great location for us and we’re expecting the store to attract customers, not only from the city but, from across the Midlands as well.”
The announcement of the Evans Cycles Nottingham store follows the opening of a new branch in Chiswick, West London. The company recently released information regarding the opening of another store in Hendon, North London for May 2007 and are currently in the process of confirming locations for a further three stores to be opened in the coming months.

Don’t forget that Evans Cycles are working with employers with their Ride2Work programme which takes advantage of the government’s Green Transport Plan allowing all British employees to save around 50% of the price of a new bike. Now that’s a great reson to buy a new bike!
