Multisport MTB challenge gathers pace

The women’s MTB winner at last year’s Great Adventure Race, Jenny Copnall, is back for another go at this year’s event (Loch Lomond Shores, 27 September). Last year was an invitation-only field, but this time around it’s an open event. So if you fancy your chances, get your entry in now.

The course runs around the Queen Elizabeth II Forest Park by Loch Lomond, starting from the Dounans Centre at Aberfoyle. Copnall said, “While being quite a short course in a compact area of forest, the Lomond Shores mountain bike course manages to include a wide variety of terrain and challenges to keep every mountain bike racer happy. Climbing on both forest road and more technical singletrack, the course also has plenty of roots, two main descents through the forest and a couple of bombholes for good measure”.

There’ll be no entries available on the day – call 0191 2727033 for an entry form.
