Mountains To Beach 2010

Following the successful inaugural 2009 Mountains To Beach event, a five-day 400km mountain bike race starting around the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, Australia, the organisers are opening entries to the 2010 event on 1 October.

Taking place between 28 February 2010 to 5 March 2010, the event starts at the top of the chairlift at Thredbo ski resort
in and finishes on the stunning South Coast of New South Wale. It traverses some of the best landscapes in Australia in 11 stages over the 5 days. Race stages range from 10km to 100km.

Event Director Huw Kingston says his team were looking forward to putting on another great tour and race: “The event route is similar in 2010 although we’ve made a few of the stages even better including a longer first race stage at Thredbo and some interesting new trail sections on our journey down to the coast.

Once again, riders will ride all the way (with the exception of one chairlift and the Ski Tube through the mountain to Perisher). Indications are that the event is going to be very popular in 2010. We’re offering 150 All In packages out of the cap of 300 entries and expect these packages to be snapped up pretty quickly.”

The 2010 DT Swiss Mountains To Beach is sponsored by DT Swiss, Osprey Hydraulics, Ground Effect, Ibis, Limar, Ay Up, Hayes, Maxxis, Verofit and our Host Partners are Thredbo, Lake Crackenback Resort, Perisher, Visit Cooma, Buckenderra Resort, Eurobodalla and NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
