We gave you preliminary news about the Giant sponsored NRS National Points Series on Monday, and now we’ve got more details about the DH side of things from David Morgan of NACC events.
Dave is part of a consortium of promoters also including; Jason Carpenter of Dragon Downhill and Neil Stoddart of Pro Gravity, who have licensed the series from British Cycling. The 2002 Giant NRS National Downhill Mountainbike series is also co-sponsored by; MBUK, Dirt, Gill, Scott USA, Impsport, Halfords Bikehut, Hope and Fox Europe.
The Series consists of four events all qualifying for UCI E2 status and National Ranking points. However, the biggest changes is that no British Cycling licence is now required unless you need to score series or BC or UCI ranking points.
