Once again Leogang, Austria hosts the Monster Energy White Style freeride event in January with 20 of the best riders from around the world confirmed to take part.
After his victory in 2010, Sam Pilgrim will definitely be part of the action again. Cameron Zink, the first winner of the FMB World Tour is also planning to cross the big pond to come to Leogang.
The Swedish rider Martin Soderstrom celebrated one victory after another last year; so naturally, he wants to start 2011 with a big bang. In addition to the FMB World Champion Cameron Zink, Jamie Goldman and Graham Agassiz are representing the North American continent and crossing half the globe to compete with the European riders.
Kona Clump team rider Grant Fielder is already putting together the exact course layout and planning to outdo last year’s course: “The riders will probably start from the igloo again, followed by several highlights that already ensured the best tricks in 2010. I know from my own experience that you need lots of air time for the sickest tricks!”
At the last White Style, Sam Pilgrim blew the audience away with a front flip x-up one foot – we’ll have to see what tricks the obstacles make possible at the next White Style.
The riders can qualify for the finals early Friday evening from 4:30pm with two runs. During the finals, the Welle1 party will keep everyone warm with some hot tunes. And of you’re still cold, just warm up with some spiced wine. After 8:30pm, 12 finalists will get the opportunity to secure part of the prize money in two runs. At 10pm then it’s time for the legendary after contest party at the Kralleralm.
