The 661 Mini Downhill will return to the Forest of Dean for three races this winter.
Mini Downhill is aimed at newcomers but a Pro Am category is also on hand for experienced riders. And Mini Downhill’s are the only races approved by British Cycling to have 10 and 11 year old’s racing, in the Rippers category.
This season’s races will take place on December 5, January 23 and February 20 and each rider is given a crack at two runs.
“There are loads of people who ride around the area that have never raced, so we have brought a race to their local track,” said event organiser Chris Roberts. “The course is fun and flowing to ride but a real challenge to ride flat out on the limit.”
Practice starts at 9am, with racing beginning at 11am and the prize presentation will be at 3.45pm. Facilities include a café, hot showers, bike wash and car park.
