The Marin South Downs 100km Enduro will hand riders a hefty 2,310m of climbing when it gets underway on Saturday (May 14).
The second of four events in the Trail Break Southern 100 series, the route heads on to the South Downs Way from the start, before turning south of the ridge. Fast chalk trails combine with single track and the South Downs’ trademark climbs and descents.
A 60km enduro route is available – but don’t think you’re in for an easy ride. The shorter route features more climbing per kilometre than the 100km ride. 40k and 25k Trail Ride routes are also on offer.
As with all Trail Break events, the Marin 100 is fully route marked, with a back-up map provided and GPS files sent to pre-entered riders before the event. Free SIS energy drink is available for all riders, with an extra support and feed station on the enduro routes to keep you going.
RFID rider timing will give you instant performance feedback, and hot and cold food and drinks will be available to help you chill out and recover post-ride at the Duncton Pavillion event centre.
Entry costs between £10 and £18 in advance, or just turn up on the day.
