Marin UK distributor ATB Sales is offering a reward for the return of 11 bikes that were stolen from one of its vans in Bury, Manchester on Wednesday 3 February.
Included in the haul, worth more than £35,000, included a prototype 4X bike being developed for US rider Andrew Taylor, which is described as ‘priceless’. It’s insured for £10,000, but more than the cost is the six months of work that has gone into it.
Marin UK’s Ross Patterson says: “Priceless is a term that is bandied about all too often but this is a unique development bike so should be easy to spot!”
The bikes stolen include three Mount Visions (5.8) in white, four white Wolf Ridges (6.9), a pair of carbon Whyte E-120s, an orange Attack Trail 140 and the 4X bike with a custom white paint job – gold and red graphics with a white RockShox Revelation fork, deep-section rims with Mountain Biking UK stickers.
The bikes were stolen from a marked Marin van overnight at the Village Hotel in Bury and Greater Manchester Police are investigating the theft and viewing CCTV images captured on the hotel’s security system.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Marin distributors ATB in Hastings on 01424 753566. A reward is being offered for the return of all or any of the bikes.
