This weekend sees the 2013 World Cup Downhill move to Leogang in Austria for the final race of the season. After last week’s dramatic wet weather racing in Norway (find out what happened here) the standings in the men’s elite category are as close coming into a final as they have ever been. 17 points separate leader Gee Atherton from Norway’s winner Stevie Smith and the title is theirs to battle over.
Who knows what will happen come Sunday – with poor weather in the Alps the race will most likely be fought in tough conditions and, as Claudio Caluori explains in this course preview (in between screams/yelps/whoops), the track is running incredibly soft at the moment.
