KIS have got to flatten the courses by October and leave! Yes we have been given our marching orders by the landowner, due to pressure from the dreaded ‘nimby’ plus the county council planners.
It would appear that yet again the ‘nimby’ gets it’s way.
One thing I must add though is that this will not effect our races series which has 2 rounds left to go, and boy will they be good. No more creeping around trying not to upset the neighbours.
The next round of the National BSX Championships is 12-13th August, this will include the 2000 King Of Dirt Competition which will take place on the Saturday. Sunday will be BSX day with the penultimate round of this the first ever BSX National Series.
So with the now infamous KIS Dirt City course counting down to flattening day what next for KIS Promosport? Well the good news is that they will definitely not be packing the digger away and taking up Knitting. No KIS will be back with a new venue better and bigger than ever next year.
Incidentally if anyone is up for the second of the KIS Get Down & Dirty Winter downhill series then don’t despair, it will happen but at a new and much more DH venue in Gloucestershire. watch out for the latest news at www.kispromo.com and join the mailing list while your at it.
