The Innerleithen Mountain Bike Series will kick off in the new year with three events to test your riding on some of Scotland’s wildest trails.
The three-event series will begin with an enduro on January 30, with every type of trail condition possible: rock, roots, mud and hardpack make this style of event the realm of technical riders, add short pedalling sections and all-rounders should rise to the top if they have the skills.
The mini downhill takes place on February 13, with riders able to make as many runs as they want, with the quickest counting.
The series finale is a mountain time trial on March 13, with tough climbs, rewarding descents and more ‘off-piste’ to open up new areas of the hill.
Points will be awarded for each event from 20 for first place to one point for 20th. Prizes will be given to podium places at all events and a best man and best woman prize awarded to the best placed rider across all three events.
Entry by 5pm on the Thursday before race day will attract a £10 discount for the enduro and DH races and a £5 discount for the time trial. Day entries will be full price.
