Anyone worried about where to go if their Fat City Cycle needs medical attention will be relieved to hear there is now an official “service builder”. Serotta had been finishing off frames to honour existing orders, but they are now back to concetrating on their own brand leaving small framebuilder Ted Wojcik to handle any ongoing work.
Ted told American Trade website Bicycle Retailer “It would be with much pride that I would service Fat City customers. This is a small shop, but we will do our best to keep up the Fat City tradition,”. If you need to get in touch then check out his website.
Although apparently still a profitable concern, steel specialists Fat City Cycles closed earlier this year as they had no funds to enable R+D for new products after suffering a steady decline in orders since their early 90’s heyday.
