“Hi guys, just come off the phone to Dafydd Davis. I have the great pleasure in announcing that the section of trail on the Penhydd route that has reached mythical status, Hidden Valley is now OPEN. Closed due to felling operations and then to wind blow, it has taken eight months to get it up and running again and after some remedial work by myself and some resurfacing I can announce that as from this Good Friday it is open to ride!”

Splendid. So what with that and the new Wall trail, Afan’s definitely worth a trip over the Bank Holiday…
