This is the new Giro Xar, an evolution of the extremely popular Xen.
Giro says: “Just as riding styles and bikes have evolved, so must the helmet. The new Xar, inspired by the Xen, but designed to meet the performance needs of today’s progressive all- mountain rider.”
It’s styling looks to be based on both the Xen and Hex, and features 17 wind tunnel designed vents with internal channels to direct the airflow and X-Static antimicrobial pads. New too is the Roc Loc 5 retention system.
And after more than two years of development, Giro introduces Roc Loc 5. With Roc Loc 5, you can easily dial-in both fit tension and adjust vertical position with a single hand. Just twist the dial for a tighter feel on rough terrain, then back it off a notch and relax across the flats or a warm climb.
Available February 2011. Price is £114.99.
