Mountain bike holiday company Flow MTB is running is fourth year of women-only riding holidays in the French Alps from its Morzine base aimed primarily at women.
There are two weeks planned, one for beginners on 20-26 June and another for more experienced riders on 15-22 August. The beginner’s week will feature top level coaching and guiding from Ulrika Tamanini, on hand to dish out advice and guidance on how to get the most out of you and your bike.
The rider’s week is designed as a regular riding holiday on great trails. Petra Wiltshire will be along as coach again, working with Jo, a fully qualified French guide and instructor. Expect a mixture of short coaching sessions on trails, and long days out on the Alpine singletrack.
Fear not if you’re a bloke and feel you’re missing out on all the fun. There’s a guided week for men only on 8-15 August, with long days off the beaten track being planned. Guy Bowden of flowmtb says: “While most weeks tend to be male dominated, it’s great to have a specific week for blokes to come out. This is perfect for guys travelling on their own and wanting a group to ride with.”
