Bring on the night riding. The latest lights from Exposure Lights have just arrived in the Bikemagic office and now we’re damn excited about hitting the trails after dark.
Bikemagic already got the world exclusive first ride with the most powerful Exposure light to leave the production line in West Sussex, when we took part in the inaugural 24-Hours of Exposure race in Newcastleton last year.
We came away impressed. How could we not. Continuing the one-piece cable-free design (that has been an Exposure hallmark since they launched in 2005) but now with six Cree XPG LEDs combining to pump out a staggering 1800 Lumens onto the trail. It marks an impressive evolution of the first Exposure light all those years ago when LED technology was in its infancy.
Burn time is 3 hours on the brightest setting while the middle option gives 10 hours, more than enough for a typical 24-hour race. By the way, the 10 hour setting is as bright as the 2010 MaxX-D (which has been given a Lumen boost for 2011). And people thought the MaXx-D was bright enough.
Weight is 490g with Quick Release Bracket. Price is £450.
