Brechfa Enduro – 13 July
Brechfa, Wales
The Brechfa Team Enduro is a brand new event for 2008, and promises something a little different for the seasoned enduro rider looking for challenges new. The 36km route will be in the Brechfa forest using the Gorlech Red and the all-new Raven Black trail, with other bits thrown in. You can do either one or two laps, but the second lap will feature several bits different from the first.
South West XC Champs – 13 July
Newnham Park, Plymouth
Newnham Park, Plymouth, will stage the Shred sponsored South West Champs this weekend. Expect the once Grundig World Cup XC hosting area to provide a great course with a combination of tough climbs and rewarding singletrack trails that’ll leave all riders smiling by the time they finish.
Bedgebury Forest Go-MTB Series – 12 July
Bedgebury Forest, Kent
A five part series of MTB races utilising the trails around Bedgebury Forest. The short course will vary each race and will be separate from the public singletrack and much of the family trail. Racing starts with the Juniors at 11am.
Royal Racing UK Bikepark Uplift – 12 July
Blandford, Dorset
Let the uplift take the strain in the the Royal Racing sponsored uplift day at the UK Bike Park in Blandford, Dorset. Expect to get 10+ runs a day using the uplift, with a bottom to top run time of approximately 10mins. Uplifting starts at 10am and finishes at 4.30pm, the service stops for lunch for 1 hour from 1pm to 2pm. On-site refreshments available all day. Cost is £25.
UK Bike Park Dh round 4 – 13 July
Blandford, Dorset
Following a day of uplifting you may feel the urge to want to race, so why not make a weekend of it at Blandford’s Bike Park, with a grass roots race on Sunday that aims to provide a challenge to all levels of riders. The Okeford Hill offers a 130m vertical drop from top to bottom. Uplift service is included in the entry fee. Camping is available for those staying for the entire weekend.
National 4X series round 4/5 – 12/13 July
Redhill Extreme, Gloucestershire
The latest round of the UK’s best 4X action goes to Redhill Extreme, Gloucestershire, this weekend for a weekend of racing on the course that was purpose built for the National Champs last year. Camping is available from Friday morning onwards. Organisers advise to bring your own drinking water.
Dragon Downhill Championships – 12/13 July
Mynydd Du, Wales
Mynydd Du hosts the Welsh Champs this weekend. Saturday is practice followed by addional practice early Sunday morning followed by the racing, starting at 12pm with each rider getting two timed runs. Places are limited to 250.
SDA Scottish Downhill Championship – 13 July
St. Wendel, Germany
The Chain Reaction sponsored DH series heads to a new venue in Glencoe, near Fort William for a weekend of top DH racing.
