So which way’s North?

If you’re keen to try out some of these shiny 2003 bikes that you keep reading about, and you’re somewhere near Gatwick on Saturday 2nd November, get yourself over to the Evans Trailbreak ride on that very day.
Trek and Klein will be bringing a number of demo bikes, including the Fuel 98 Carbon, Liquid 20 and Klein Palomino Race – this’ll be the first chance the public have to give these bikes a go.
Also present will be USE with demo bikes equipped with their new SUB anti-dive fork, accompanied by knowledgeable people who can answer that all-important “how does it work, then?” question.
And last but certainly not least, Specialized will have a selection of Epic test bikes so you can have a whirl and make your own mind up about the much-discussed inertial valve auto lock-out gubbinses…
Aside from all that new shiny bikeyness, all entrants will get a free goodie bag worth £15 (presumably it’s the contents that are worth that, not the bag itself). Trailbreak will also be hosting their first Navigator Training Day, with top Trailbreak and Polaris rider Jon Brooke sharing his tactics for success. The rides are of the orienteering persuasion, mostly off-road and from 12 to 40 miles in length.
For directions and entry details visit the Evans website or telephone 0870 0600 0908.
